THE WORLD WONDERS PROJECT - FINAL EVALUATION
This project is related to the new and final Thematic Unit of our course, but you will apply all your previous knowledge... Let's travel around our country and the world around!
What do you have to do? First, watch these videos and activate your imagination...
But take into account that there are many lists of World Wonders: the Natural Wonders, the Ancient Wonders, the Underwater Wonders, etc. So you have a lot of places to choose from!!
You have to take a look to this website, select at least FOUR PLACES and research on them: https://7wonders.org/
How are you presenting?
You will have to decide if you are presenting ON YOUR OWN OR IN PAIRS.
Then you are going to research and prepare A World Wonders Trip to present orally and USING YOUR CREATIVITY: images, videos, sounds or music surrounding, objects, disguises, and whatever you would like to use to make your presentation more attractive.
What language are you including?
Remember to use the vocabulary to describe the places selected: geographical location, country, landscapes, natural environment, population.
You can mention the means of transport you plan to use and some cultural aspects such as the language used, typical foods, music and dances, etc.
Try to include the language learnt in class: adjectives, comparative and superlative adjectives, modal verbs (would, can, could, have to, must, should, may) and some new verb tenses such as the future forms (will or "BE + going to") and the present perfect (HAVE + participle).
How can you improve?
Remember it is an oral evaluation so I will evaluate: pronunciation + fluency + use of language accuracy + communication effectiveness (body language / voice projection / eye contact) + organisation and readiness + creativity.
I recommend you to work with online dictionaries to get the correct pronunciation and then work on chunks to improve your fluency. Do you remember what we did in class?
Of course, I highly recommend you to rehearse the presentation in a special space, record your voice, practice your gestures and ways of looking.
Everybody has to speak! Have fun! 👋😄
