Recommendations for different learning styles

Recommendations for different learning styles

VISUAL / SPACIAL
Use colours, pictures and maps. Organize vocabulary with colour flashcards and draw grammar diagrams. Label things to memorize and highlight texts.

MUSICAL / AUDITORY
Listen to relaxing music while you study. Put rhythm to grammar rules and rhyme vocabulary. Associate the sounds of words.

VERBAL / LINGUISTIC
Read aloud to study and set the important points to a jingle. Act out with a mate using different voices. Organize vocabulary in acronyms and crosswords.

PHYSICAL / KINESTHETIC
Associate movement and sensations with new concepts. Use flashcards, diagrams and drawings to register vocabulary. Use breathing for relaxation and self-control.

LOGICAL / MATHEMATICAL
    I.      Study the reasons and the rules in new concepts.
II.      Highlight procedures and make lists.
III.      Breath for relaxation and... JUST DO IT!

SOCIAL / INTERPERSONAL
Form groups to study. Role-play, act out, share your opinions and ideas with your mates. Compare your work with others’ work and listen to their explanations.

SOLITARY / INTRAPERSONAL
Associate concepts with your own experiences and feelings. Set your goals, objectives and plans to organize your study. Remember you are one part of the system: invite a mate to work with you, compare your visualizations and feelings and role-play.
